I recently stayed at Basecamp Wales for a family vacation. We had a fantastic time! The price was excellent and the people who live on-site were incredibly friendly. The hotel had a great atmosphere and was clean, quiet, and well-equipped. Our private bedroom was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of storage space. The communal showers were spotless and had plenty of hot water. The communal kitchen was well-organized and had plenty of fridge space. The free Wi-Fi was a bonus, and there were lots of communal spaces both indoors and outdoors. The owners were very helpful, suggesting places to visit and even allowing us to feed the chickens and alpacas. this was the best stay I have ever had in the UK, and I highly recommend this hotel!
I would recommend this hotel.

The hostel itself was always clean and tidy, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The location was perfect, with beautiful views and plenty of great walks right on the doorstep. As someone traveling by car, I loved the convenient location for exploring Snowdonia and Anglesey. the cleanliness was impressive, especially the shared facilities. the single bed was comfortable, and having a balcony added a nice touch. the kitchen was spacious and well-equipped, and there was no waiting for the shared facilities despite the hotel being full. There was also a Co-op nearby, which was handy. a great place to stay.

Had a fantastic Christmas stay at this family-run hostel! The place was spotlessly clean, with a spacious and well-equipped kitchen for preparing meals. The hostel's location was perfect, close to a national cycle route and within easy reach of Porthmadog. We loved being able to store our bikes overnight and explore the beautiful surroundings. The best part was definitely the adorable alpacas and sheep that we could feed - such a fun and unique experience!

We had a fantastic stay at this unique place that feels like posh camping with a clubhouse. the two brothers who run the place are amazing hosts and really make sure everything runs smoothly. the communal areas are well equipped and comfortable, and the views from the rooms are superb. We loved being able to hand-feed the alpacas and sheep, and there were even giant rabbits to interact with. It's in a great location, close to Snowdon and Anglesey, although having a car is recommended. a friendly and enjoyable experience at Basecamp Wales. Cons: No issues. 😊.
